Advocate. Author. Speaker. Fighter for the Innocent.

Hi, I’m Joelle Casteix, and I believe that every child deserves to grow up safe, loved, and empowered. I know the devastating impact of abuse because I lived it. As a teenager, I endured abuse that shattered my world. But I refused to let that pain define me. Instead, I transformed it into a mission to ensure no child has to suffer in silence as I did.

I’m a writer, advocate, and mom, and I spend my days doing whatever it takes to protect kids, expose predators, and hold institutions accountable. My book, The Well-Armored Child: A Parent’s Guide to Preventing Sexual Abuse, is the resource I wish my family had when I was growing up. It’s packed with real-world tools and strategies that help parents keep their kids safe while fostering trust and open communication. My other books include THE POWER OF RESPONSIBILITY (based on my successful TEDx talk) (Worthy Adversary Press), and THE COMPASSIONATE RESPONSE (Worthy Adversary Press), and I have also contributed chapters to the bestselling books HOLISTIC MENTAL HEALTH PART II (Brave Healer Productions) and STOP THE SILENCE (Brave Healer Productions).

I’ve worked with lawmakers to pass laws that give survivors a voice and ensure predators can’t hide behind outdated systems. As a Senior Fellow with the Zero Abuse Project, I collaborate with incredible advocates to develop cutting-edge resources and training for families and institutions alike. Together, we’re fighting back against abuse, one step at a time.

My writing? It’s my weapon of choice. Whether it’s crafting articles, drafting legislation, or creating content for nonprofits and advocacy groups, I use words to shine a light in the darkest corners and inspire change. Words have power, and I’ve seen firsthand how they can rally communities and bring justice to survivors.

When I’m not writing or advocating, you’ll find me onstage, sharing my story and connecting with audiences at events like TEDx and international forums. I’ve also been featured in major media outlets, helping to amplify the voices of survivors and expose the systems that fail them.

But at my core, I’m just a mom who wants to raise a generation of kids who are tough, resilient, and safe. I believe that small changes—like teaching kids about boundaries or embracing the “no secrets” rule—can create seismic shifts in their safety and confidence.

Through my writing and my advocacy work, I hope to empower parents, challenge broken systems, and inspire others to join the fight. I’m not here to sugarcoat the hard truths, but I’ll be right there with you, working to make the world a safer place for all kids.

We can stop the cycle of abuse. It’s not easy, but it’s absolutely possible. Let’s get to work.
